Who's behind it?
Working artists who also build websites. Poco started as the site we wanted for ourselves.
Was this site really made with Poco?
Yes. Everything you're looking at is a Poco site, built with the same layouts and blocks you'd get. If it weren't good enough for our own site, it wouldn't be good enough for yours.
Does Poco have a logo?
Nope. Most artists don't have one, so why would we.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. If you can write an email and drag a file, you have all the skills required. There's nothing to install, configure, or keep updated.
Can I change the design?
You can switch between layouts, reorder your work, and choose a font, a colour palette, and spacing. The rest is already decided, so you don't have to.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every site gets a free {yoursite}.ooooooooo.org address, and you can point a domain you already own at it instead. Tell us the domain and we'll set it up for you.
What if I stop paying?
You take your work with you. Everything you've uploaded stays yours, and you can export all of it in one click: images, text, the lot. No hostage-taking, no export fee, no thirty-day countdown.
Where is my site hosted?
In Europe, on European infrastructure. Your data is covered by the GDPR, and stays under European law.
Is this an AI product?
There's no AI inside Poco. It doesn't write your texts, suggest what you should upload, or learn anything from the data you enter. Like most software today, Poco too was written with help from AI, but we lead every decision with our values and years of experience building portfolio sites for artists.
What kind of work does it handle?
Images, text, and video. Images are resized, compressed, and optimised automatically, so a 40MB scan and a phone photo both end up looking right. Video and audio are embedded from Vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud, and a few others.
Can I sell work through it?
You can. Poco isn't a proper e-commerce solution, but it gives you enough to sell from your site. The shop link block puts a price and a Buy button under the work, pointing to wherever you actually sell: Mollie, Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad, Ko-fi and a few others. The transaction happens there. We don't take a cut.
What does it cost?
It's free while we're in beta. After that, a fixed monthly fee with everything included: the same price whatever you upload. We'll announce the number before beta ends.
Who else is using Poco?
We're right at the start, so we're just a few for now. We will soon show our favorites here.
Can I try it?
Poco is in beta and free to try. We're adding artists a few at a time, so we can fix things properly as they come up. If you'd like a spot, get in touch.
